As face to face lessons are not currently viable due to the restrictions of COVID-19, Cathie is offering 30 minute individual or group lessons via Zoom or Skype.
These lessons offer pupils the chance to experiment for themselves and experience different ways of thinking and moving in everyday situations, with the observation and verbal guidance of a teacher.
Cathie also offers a 6 week online course for groups ‘An Introduction to the Alexander Technique’, which includes a brief history of the Technique and the fundamental principles, anatomy and body-mapping, experiential movement work, discussions and observations and the Constructive Rest position.
Please contact me if you would like to book a lesson or course for yourself or your company/group.
To coincide with Alexander Technique Awareness Week I will be offering discounted rate of £25 for an introductory lesson. Simply mention awareness week when you get in touch and I can book you in at a time that works for you.

At school, children are faced with many new demands, such as sitting for longer periods at a desk, reading and writing. They can start to become ‘fixed’ and develop a tendency to slump, as well as using too much effort by trying hard to perform tasks such as holding a pen. If a child can maintain their natural ‘use’, they will be better equipped to respond to situations in a calm and clear manner as well as engaging the correct amount of muscular effort in whatever activity they are doing. This will hopefully prevent future problems like back pain, from occurring.
Watch a short video about the Alexander Technique in Education.
The Alexander Technique is NOT yoga or meditating, but learning about having a relaxed, happy back. It is also really fun!
